Sunset in Haleiwa

Haleiwa town out in North Shore is extremely popular. A very touristy location that many are familiar with. This is a gorgeous photo of a sunset by the famous Haleiwa bridge. After a long day at Sunset beach, my family and I were heading into Haleiwa town to get something to eat. As we were driving, we couldn’t help but notice the fiery sunset shining through the windows. We, like many other, felt the need to pull over to embrace this beautiful scene. To this day, this is probably one of the top 5 sunsets I’ve been able to capture!

    I love driving up to Haleiwa and getting a shave ice from Mastumotos on a nice day. I just realized I've never been up there in the evening, need to check that off of my list when i get back home. Thanks for sharing and your right that is a spectacular sunset.

    Thank you for searing nice post! I have gone Haleiwa by car many times before COVID-19... Sunset beach is really nice spot to see sunset, I love there. When my family came to HI, I tale them to Haleiwa and they liked eating garlic shrimp!!

  You can never go wrong when it comes to taking time to just sit and watch the sun as it goes to bed. The sunsets out on the West side of the island are always breathtaking. These were taken at Keaau Beach Park out in Waianae. Although the drive is kind of lengthy, it is absolutely worth the view. I don't know what it is, but whenever I watch the sunset at the beach there is this surreal feeling, and great amount of appreciation I feel for this place I get to call home. Lulumahu Falls

As a lover for adventure, one of my most enjoyed waterfall hikes is Lulumahu Falls. This hike is right off of the Pali highway. Crossing the creek through a bamboo forest comes the breathtaking reward of this waterfall. The hike is a fairly easy one, as long as you aren't afraid of getting a little muddy. The unmarked trail goes about 1.7 miles up, passing through a few streams with a little amount of climbing. The fresh waterfall is absolutely worth the time and effort put in. The pool area of the waterfall isn’t too big, but the waterfall itself is a blast on its own. If you haven’t done this hike before, or were looking for a few adventures to do on Oahu, Lulumahu falls is a must do!

My Go-To

To start off this journey, I would like to take you all to my absolute favorite spot on Oahu! This is located on the east side of the island in Lanikai, Kailua. A place well known to Kailua locals, as well as lots of tourists. Many people enjoy cruising on the beautiful shores of Lanikai, but not many know there hides quite a number of hidden beach accesses. This particular beach access that I have journeyed to brings you to a breathtaking view closer than the others. The two islands in this photo are called the Mokulua islands or the “Twin islands.” The island on the left is called Moku Nui, where numbers of people kayak and sometimes paddle out on surfboards to venture the land.  This is a view that I truly will never get tired of! From the translucent turquoise waters, the warmth of the sun, and the very photo-like scenery, I am extremely lucky to be able to spend time here!
