Spitting Caves

I am showing you the beautiful, yet very dangerous waters known as Spitting Caves. For this adventure, I am switching it up a bit. I advise that you do not try to test these waters but rather enjoy it from afar. This is a cliff shoreline, where waves crash into the rocky walls and “spit” out water. The reason that I would not recommend for you to test the waters is because the waves, as well as the current are extremely unpredictable. About more than a dozen of people have lost their lives, and many have drowned. The sound alone, is very intimidating. You can hear the echo of the waves when it hits the cave, as well as the “spit.” 


I am one who does truly like to adventure, yet there are times when you need to listen to that gut feeling of taking a step back. I value the beauty of our island Oahu, and this location is one of those that you might not want to get an up close experience with. If you decide to take a visit to Spitting Caves, please be careful and just enjoy the view.

    Amazing photo and video. I just love the blue color of the water. Where exactly is this? Seems to be on the East side? Crazy to think people have tried to get too close and have lost their lives. Have you been to mermaid cave? I have wanted to check that place out too but I hear it's kind of unpredictable as well. I have been really enjoying your blog!

Where the Sun Sets

  You can never go wrong when it comes to taking time to just sit and watch the sun as it goes to bed. The sunsets out on the West side of the island are always breathtaking. These were taken at Keaau Beach Park out in Waianae. Although the drive is kind of lengthy, it is absolutely worth the view. I don't know what it is, but whenever I watch the sunset at the beach there is this surreal feeling, and great amount of appreciation I feel for this place I get to call home. The warmth and calmness that I get from watching sunsets is a vibe thats truly unmatched. The sound of the ocean hitting the sand, and the feeling of the wind pressing on your skin puts me in such a peaceful state, making me feel kind of lazy. Lulumahu Falls

As a lover for adventure, one of my most enjoyed waterfall hikes is Lulumahu Falls. This hike is right off of the Pali highway. Crossing the creek through a bamboo forest comes the breathtaking reward of this waterfall. The hike is a fairly easy one, as long as you aren't afraid of getting a little muddy. The unmarked trail goes about 1.7 miles up, passing through a few streams with a little amount of climbing. The fresh waterfall is absolutely worth the time and effort put in. The pool area of the waterfall isn’t too big, but the waterfall itself is a blast on its own. If you haven’t done this hike before, or were looking for a few adventures to do on Oahu, Lulumahu falls is a must do!

My Go-To

To start off this journey, I would like to take you all to my absolute favorite spot on Oahu! This is located on the east side of the island in Lanikai, Kailua. A place well known to Kailua locals, as well as lots of tourists. Many people enjoy cruising on the beautiful shores of Lanikai, but not many know there hides quite a number of hidden beach accesses. This particular beach access that I have journeyed to brings you to a breathtaking view closer than the others. The two islands in this photo are called the Mokulua islands or the “Twin islands.” The island on the left is called Moku Nui, where numbers of people kayak and sometimes paddle out on surfboards to venture the land.  This is a view that I truly will never get tired of! From the translucent turquoise waters, the warmth of the sun, and the very photo-like scenery, I am extremely lucky to be able to spend time here!
